  • 2+ years of Unreal Engine experience

  • A solid understanding of proper architecture in Unreal Engine

  • Shipped at least 1 game or ability to present past projects in Unreal Engine (Hobby projects included)

DESIRED
  • A solid foundation and understanding of game design principles

  • An active player and fan of games, especially smaller "Indie games"

  • Experience with porting and/or shipping a console game

  • Experience with Perforce

  • Experience in other programming/scripting languages

  • Experience with multiplayer game programming / networking principles

SUBMISSION

Please make sure you meet all requirements (Including general requirements at the top of this page) before applying - we are a small company, someone with limited time needs to review these. :)
Submit your cover letter to jordy@aegicentertainment.com and include:

  • [PROGRAMMER APPLICATION] in the subject head

  • Your resume in .PDF format or web-page link

  • Links to any past work (Shipped games, projects, hobby projects, ...)

We who are about to die salute you!

GENERALIST DEV - UE4/5 - Blueprints

Aegic Entertainment is looking for a skilled and motivated generalist Unreal Engine developer
This is a full-time, 100% remote position. Candidates in Belgium or willing to relocate to Belgium in the long term are preferred. If hired, you will be working on
We Who Are About To Die.

As a generalist developer, you are technically minded and capable of many sides of gameplay development within Unreal Engine. You are very comfortable in UE's Blueprints. You typically lean more towards tasks such as prototyping, gameplay blueprint development, material creation, particle systems, Animation systems, ... but your "secondary" skillsets may be varied and dynamic, ranging from game design to audio work to 3D art or others.

You identify as a jack-of-all-trades, enjoying learning new skills and generally just "making games". Most likely you have some relevant interests and skillsets outside direct game development as well such as writing, video editing, marketing or others.

REQUIREMENTS
  • 1+ years of Unreal Engine experience (gameplay development experience in UE Blueprints)

  • Shipped at least 1 game or ability to present past projects in Unreal Engine (Hobby projects included)

  • A varied skillset directly relevant to game development in Unreal Engine

  • You're very driven to expand your skillsets over time

DESIRED
  • Experience working with UE's animation system, prototyping and other "creative programming" style tasks.

  • An active player and fan of games, especially smaller "Indie games"

  • You are fond of bug-hunting and bug-fixing

  • A solid foundation and understanding of game design principles

GENERALIST ARTIST - Blender, UE4/5

Aegic Entertainment is looking for a skilled and motivated generalist artist.
This is a full-time, 100% remote position. Candidates in Belgium or willing to relocate to Belgium in the long term are preferred. If hired, you will be working on
We Who Are About To Die.

As a generalist artist, you have a varied skillset within art production domains relevant to game-development. This primarily includes 3D asset creation (characters, props & environments) but also secondary skills such as level creation and design, 3D animation and even audio and music. You are somewhat technically minded and not afraid of the boundary where art meets real-time gameplay : eg. developing assets pipelines, levels, materials and particle systems within Unreal Engine.

As an indie studio we are usually not in need of AAA-level assets: you identify as a jack-of-all-trades, and above all you are fast - you get it done and can avoid getting lost in details and perfectionism. Most likely you have some relevant interests and skillsets outside direct game development as well such as writing, video editing, marketing or others.

Obviously, there is no 1 specific profile to describe here! It will be up to you to determine if you identify with the above paragraph.

REQUIREMENTS
  • 2+ years of experience working in Blender.

  • A strong understanding of 3D asset creation pipeline (Low poly modelling, UV unwrapping, Texturing, Export/Import pipeline)

  • A variety of "secondary" artistic skillsets (Materials, 3D animation, Level Design, Audio, ...)

  • Experience working within a game engine

  • Shipped at least 1 game or ability to present past projects (Portfolio pieces within a game engine)

  • You're very driven to expand your skillsets over time

DESIRED
  • Experience working with UE's animation system, prototyping and other "creative programming" style tasks.

  • An active player and fan of games, especially smaller "Indie games"

  • Experience with version control

  • A solid foundation and understanding of game design principles

OPERATIONS MANAGER

Aegic Entertainment is looking for a skilled and motivated operations manager.
This is a full-time, 100% remote position. Candidates in Belgium or willing to relocate to Belgium in the long term are preferred.

As an operations manager, in short, you work closely with the studio head to manage and handle the general operations of the company - whatever it may be. You take on any tasks inside the game studio that are not directly game development. This could range from financial tracking and processing, office inventory & admin, communication, organisation of travel/events (GDC, Gamescom, and so on), employment and payroll related tasks, to deadline and production tracking. This may also include some customer-facing tasks like PR managing, social media management, marketing campaigns and copywriting.

In short, you are organised, detail oriented and very flexible to do whatever the company needs doing any given time, to enable the rest of the team to focus on game development. Most likely, you are passionate about games and indie game development and are familiar with the game industry.

NOTE: In this position there is room for lateral movement into more direct game development as well (even without prior skills). Depending on your interests and the operational workload, we may create an environment for you to learn 3D asset production or marketing principles on the job.

REQUIREMENTS
  • 1+ year of experience as operations manager (or similar) within a production team

  • A variety of relevant skillsets with the ability to showcase them (eg. financial management, organisation, scheduling & planning, event planning, ...)

  • Very strong communication skills

  • You're very driven to expand your skillsets over time

  • Solid understanding of organisation tools, word and data processing software (eg. Miro, Notion, Google Docs, Google Sheets, ...)

DESIRED
  • Experience within the game industry

  • Business management skills

  • Some interest and experience in marketing principles (and preferably specifically game marketing)
